For a coastal or earthy interior, fine art prints with natural textures, muted tones, and open horizons create an effortless sense of calm. Keep surrounding décor minimal — let the artwork lead.

Scale Matters More Than You Think

The most common mistake I see? Going too small. A large-format art print can anchor an entire room with confidence, while an undersized piece on a vast wall just gets lost. Personally, I love a big statement wall art piece — especially on a spacious wall, hallway, or entrance. Done right, it becomes the star of the show; the first thing you notice when you walk into a room and the detail guests always comment on.

• Above a sofa: aim for a print that's roughly two-thirds the width of the furniture below it.

The centre of your artwork should sit at approximately 145–150 cm from the floor. This applies to a single statement piece or a full gallery wall. It's a small detail that makes an enormous difference to how the whole room feels.
